Urban Hot Pot - River Hill

Visited again recently and found that everything had improved. The service was poor and we waited for a half hour before having to re order our food and receive it. This occurred several times throughout the meal. However because it was all you can eat this did not affect our experience too much. Several times throughout the meal our broth was refilled, but with a flavorless water or atom which ruined the flavor of the soup. We ended up dousing all of the food in dipping sauces.

I’ve been to a few different hot pot places in the dmv but this one is my favorite!! The service is amazing the staff is always on it when you need something. most times you don’t even need to ask because they already be on it. The food is amazing. I love that they have the Ipad and robot feature because it makes asking for things so much easier and FASTER!!! During the week before dinner its about 25 per person and 35 for dinner and weekends. I come here almost every weekend and never have a problem. its always a good time. Thank you urban hot pot

One of my favorite hot pot places in the area. The broth, vegetables and cuts of meat are always consistent. Yes some of the meats come out frozen, but 2-3 mins in your steaming hot broth will cook everything. The location has tables on both sides. There’s a conveyor belt in the middle with some random ingredients. I really like the high ceilings and Koi fish lights on the ceiling. The music here can be a bit loud if you plan on taking any calls.I’ve come here for lunch and dinner. Dinner is about $10 more at $35. You get some more premium cuts of meat and they offer better seafood options a la carte. Service here is always on point. There’s always a staff member close to you ready to clean your table, refill your drinks and the food comes out really quickly. They even feature those robots now to deliver your food. The sauce station is always clean. Definitely try their meat sauce. If you’re by the mall or Columbia in general this is the spot for hot pot.

My first time and there are no negatives.There is an average wait on weekends. However location helps so much to do while you wait.I had the original broth and it was delicious just by itself.Service was on point. Claire was amazing she always checked on us and tables around us.The music choice was on point as well, really helped the vibe.They can be a bit loud with the dishes but overall A+ experience and will definitely return.

Absolutely love this place. Comparing urban hotpot to a couple of other hotpot places I've been to, this one always takes the win. Haven't been here in a while and was surprised to see robots serving the food, the service was alot faster than it used to be. I got the spicy broth this time, it was a bit oily from too much hot oil I think but very flavorful. Our orders came out within minutes from sending them through the tablet. They have a large variety of ingredients, everything looked and tasted fresh. Can't wait to come back here.
