Billy’s - Roanoke

I had the best service from Sam the bartender ! He was attentive and never let our glasses get empty. Sam took care of us the whole time and even kept our leftover food cold so we could do a little shopping . Thank you Sam for the great service !

For the price the food was mediocre. I also felt that our service was lacking. I hate to feel as if we were judged by our appearance, but our server was barely at our table. As a former server I would have been happy to tip much more than 20% but for the service we received it wasn’t worth it.

Wonderful setting in Roanoke and a short walk from Mill Mountain Theatre. My dinner of pork chop with bourbon glaze, mashed potatoes, and asparagus was delicious. I forgot to take a picture. The prices are higher than what we usually spend, but the quality and quantity of the food made it worth it.

Staying it Hotel Roanoke. Billy's was recommend. Was seated and waited 20 minutes and a waiter would never take our drink order or food order. We were never spoken to other than the hostess . We were in middle of establishment and 4 tables seated after us had drinks served and orders taking. Ended back at hotel and spent my $400 on dinner there. Hotel Roanoke has very good food. Will never recommend the poor service at Billy's !

Our chairs were full of the last diner's crumbs and our table was delaminating, literally falling apart. The service was great but the food was mediocre and seriously overpriced. After hearing great things for years I was shocked at the prices, the poorly maintained table, the Shoney's level salads, and the lumps of breading described as friend oysters. Low-flavor crab cakes, not-cheesy cheesy mashed potatoes at just above room temperature, and onion rings with almost no breading rounded out a serious underwhelming meal. I doubt I will return.
