A cute place. Very crowded when we ate. All had hot dogs and Abbott's for dessert. I would hope that on less busy days the tables would be cleaned and bussed more efficiently.
A good place for children. Unfortunately they took away some of the hands-on play things and replaced them with virtual reality and with video games. Its actually very sad. My children loved the hands on toys such as hula hoops and large soft building blocks in the upstairs play area). Also, they got rid of some of the mom rooms where you could breast-feed or just sit quietly for a few minutes with your child. There is still plenty of activities to do, but those 2 things were what we miss. Oh, and they demolished the outside garden. : The children and I wld always walk through there to see different flowers and sit in the small gazebo. It was so precious! Now it 's under construction for a parking garage and some other addition. Hopefully it wont all be electronic!
This place is amazing! Things to see and remember for all ages! Literally enough things in this place to touch and see for probably 2 full days. One day is simply not enough time to get through all the items. I cannot wait to take my family there again!
Bill Gray's is definitely a fantastic dining option while visiting the Strong Museum, offering high-quality and delicious food and drinks. While the prices are slightly higher than typical fast food, the experience is well worth it. The menu features a variety of items, including burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, fries, and other tasty choices, along with large milkshakes. The Bill Gray's Restaurant at the Strong Museum stands out as the coolest of its many eateries, housed in a vintage trailer diner that has been relocated to the museum. Although it's a bit cozy, there are terrace tables surrounding the diner that extend into the lobby area. You'll find the diner conveniently located near the main entrance, close to the gift shop and the carousel.
