Public House 29 - Rochester

Public House 29 was clean and comfortable. I ordered the pot roast while my partner chose the meatloaf, and both dishes were delicious. Our plates were heaping, making it difficult to finish our meals. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and our server was attentive, frequently checking in to refill our drinks. We will definitely be going back!

I was excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews I saw on OpenTable, but I ended up feeling disappointed. The food was average, and the service was just okay. One interesting feature they had was a selection of board games near the entrance. You could pick a game and take it back to your table while you waited, which our kids really enjoyed.

The receptionist had no record of my table reservation, despite me having the confirmation.

We love the ice area on the bar. The beer is cold and great selection and overall the bar is well stocked. Wish they would get a GF beer. Will be back soon.

Very good food and service. The music was a bit too loud, which unfortunately is all too common in local restaurants. The all you can eat shrimp was delicious, the chips and cornbread made a great evening snack.
