Shamrock Hotel - Rochester

Easily the worst pub grub I've ever hadTruly horrible.

Recently, after a forced stop in Rochester, ( due to car break down) we had a Sunday Dinner at the Shamrock. The meal was excellent and quite large and nicely served to us. Service was friendly and I gathered that many locals also ate there. Lovely old styled building that seem to have stood the test of time.Hopefully will return there when next in the area.

What a great stop on our way to Echuca. Needed a cold drink and a quick lunch and both supplied were great value. Staff also very friendly. Will definitely stop here again.

The hotel was quite busy when we arrived, never the less the service was very good. The menu had a good variety and the meals served were great. The calamari served as a starter was excellent as was the 'cheese' loaf.

Shamrock Hotel is the best hotel in Rochester, a beautiful building that has had the front façade recently refurbished. We found the prices were a little high for a country pub but the meals are well cooked and nicely presented. Definitely worth calling in.
