Bidra med feedbackPicked up food for my American Legion Post to take to the Veteran's Drop-in Center. This place replaced another that raised their prices to way more than we could afford. $170 for enough chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, and bisquits to feed 25 Vets and have left enough for some of them to take home. And the Vets really loved it. We were pleased.
The food here is pretty great. I love the chicken sandwich. But other than that, the place is pretty rundowned, especially the drive thru. And don't get me started about the lot structure. Popeyes at this spot in particular is pretty decent but my biggest gripe is how difficult it is to enter and exit their lot. I wish they had an entry along Fairview but sadly it's just Estate. There's been several times I would have gone to them but the thought of trying to make a left to exit onto the busy street made me pick elsewhere.
It was Mother's Day, and there was only one person behind the counter to serve EVERYONE! She did a phenomenal job in spite of being stressed, but we customers were experiencing longer than normal wait times. Also, there was a sign advertising a 5 piece special for $11.99, but I was told that I could not have that special for that price because it was not programmed into the register. What gives?
A bit slow, but not too bad. One sign panel in drive thru was broken and completely missing, making it a bit difficult to order. They were out of a lot of stuff, including entrees, sides, and condiments, including some chicken products, mac and cheese, butter and honey. Potatoes and gravy had virtually no gravy. Food was served hot and fresh. The staff was apologetic and friendly. Overall a bit disappointed, but the food was good if you like Popeyes.
Short staff waited over an hour. I ordered online to save the line time just to find out that I had to wait over an hour because the third party never sent them the payment. I had to cancel my order and order at the restaurant again.
