Leisure Inn - Rockingham

Arrived for a 6pm reservation for 10 on a very cold Sunday afternoon. The table for ten was next to the bar with the wind howling through. We had two that couldn't make it so now only 8ppl. We asked if we could move. "I'll check" was the reply. In the meantime. Other members of our party found a more cozy spot near a fireplace. And asked a waitress if we could set up tables here. "There's not enough room" she said as she walked away. We set up the tables ourselves. A waitress came past delivering food. We asked if we could order drinks. "I'll be back in a minute or head up to the bar" was the reply. She didn't come back so we headed to the bar. Then we had to find a waiter to take our order. Not sure they were short staffed when we first arrived or being that there was only a dozen patrons other than our table they didn't have enough staff on. Suddenly a nice waiter came down to help and the experience improved. The food was reasonable and what you normally expect from pub grub. Just a shame our initial contacts with staff were poor or it would have got at least 4-41/2 stars. Well done that bearded man!

Arrived for a late dinner on a Wednesday night. Greeted with friendly staff. Tried their $12 steak special. Like mine well done so wasn't sure if they'd get it right. They did it was done just right and was tender and tasty. Had a serving of wedges on the side, they have to be the tastiest I've tried. Friendly table staff too. An enjoyable meal.

Basically called in for a drink after shopping and decided to get something to eat. When the food was delivered, the waitress was talking on her phone!! Dumped the food, did not acknowledge her customers and to top it off, she appeared to be management!

Two of us went for dinner and drinks, Drinks a little on the expensive side, Food was good value and tasted great, all in all a good experience and will return!

Meet up with friends here for dinner.Service really bad. Tables not clean and staff walking around doing very little.Ordered starters and mains, calamari was good, mains were average.I had a caesar salad with warm chicken, terrible. Chicken was dry and bacon was that hard you couldn't eat it and they forgot the poached egg. After asking for it they returned with a hard egg, which really annoys me.2 people had steak and if was not good.Told waitress about my meal and the supervisor came over and spoke to me. She was very apologetic and refunded for the salad. Reason being they were very busy.They had a trivia night in room next door, not that busy.Would not recommend this place at all.
