Rockingham Beach Fish and Chips

I hear this place has issues with consistency and long queues, I had them both today. Fish and chips were nothing fantastic and the waiting time was insanely long for a Monday afternoon. Fries were underseasoned too. Their fried mussels and scallops were great though! No funny smells and great on flavor. I'd come back to give this another try but at the moment Grand Lane is still miles better.

After seeing all the reviews we still decided to give it a go. Mistake! The fish was lovely, the chips needed more cooking and the potato scallops need to be thinner so they cook all the way through, and NO pineapple fritter as ordered. On a positive note the guy taking orders was polite and the order came out on time.

Huge wait time, barely any chips in the chips and gravy pack. The potato scallops were the size of a 50c coin. Asked for grilled fish and got home to see it was battered. Very disappointed after a 40+ min wait!

Ordered the $14 snapper and chips. Chips and fish were decent but nothing special. Unfortunately it was the smallest piece of fish I've EVER been served. Smaller than the size of a phone. Pretty dissapointing. At least there were plenty of chips.

I have been using this place for a while now. I always order the same thing (crumbed emperor) . I’m always surprised at the lack of service and poor cleanliness in the place. Tables and floor are always filthy and the staff are so arrogant. Especially the manager. My order recently took 40 minutes and when I asked about it… I was asked where I have been? . I mentioned that I’ve been sitting there the whole time (check the cameras) to which I was handed my cold fish and told that the young fella didn’t notice me. I’ve tried to give this place a chance but it is just consistently poor quality and going downhill every time I order now. I will no longer be spending my money in this establishment. Really disappointing that there is not a good fish and chip shop on the foreshore.
