Straddie Roadhouse - Rocky Cape

I have been visiting Straddie regularly for the past 6 years, and every time I visit, I always order the same thing. Although I usually like to try different dishes, the bacon and egg muffins at the Roadhouse are just too delicious to pass up. This breakfast sandwich, topped with melted cheese, onions, and BBQ sauce, puts McDonald's to shame. It's so tasty that you might find yourself tempted to order another one right away. However, I recommend saving room for their amazing burgers at lunchtime instead.

Take away meals are cooked to perfection if you ask for something fresh from the menu. Highly recommend the burgers.

Great, traditional, local, typical roadhouse - but burgers to die for, the works at $11.We bought our burgers as takeaways and ate them at the Point Lookout picnic area at the start of the Nth Gorge walk. A great way to walk off the hugely filling and extremely tasty burgers, thick, real meat patties with fresh salads, pineapple, egg and bacon. Just YUM.You need plenty of serviettes and you need to be hungry to be able to finish eating one of these burgers.The staff were sooo friendly and welcoming and the Roadhouse sells all the usual emergency and practical supplies, from petrol to dog leads and at a very reasonable price.The toilets were clean and readily available - no key required!Please support this traditional Aussie roadhouse.

I used to work at the Straddie Roadhouse years ago and I can confirm that the burgers there are truly legendary.

I love Stradbroke Island. Even the gas stations are friendly.
