Kathopoulis Family - Rodos

Great little restaurant, fantastic food and a hospitable host in this family-run restaurant. We went to the 11th anniversary and couldn't mistake the place. We sat in the chat, eat and watch the cats roam and the little birds in their cages. Great place and view of a future holiday to Rhodes

This is a small traditional Greek restaurant in a quiet little street. The food is delicious, and the service meets high expectations from a family-run business. It has become a tradition for my family to come here for a dinner every year we visit the old town of Rhodes.

Me and my sister came here for lunch after I looked on Google maps for some places with good reviews. The restaurant is tucked away on a quiet street and I wouldn't have found it if I didn't know it was there. The waitress was lovely, spoke good English and brought us English menus. There weren't many vegetarian options on the menu, so I told the waitress I was vegetarian and asked about my options. Eventually I settled on a Greek salad, and my sister got a Margherita pizza. The waitress seemed very interested in my vegetarianism and asked me questions about it, I'm assuming she hasn't encountered many vegetarians before which would explain the lack of options on the menu. My salad was absolutely delicious, as was the pizza which I had a slice of. Overall I was really happy with the meal and would recommend it to my friends, though maybe not any vegetarians.

First taverna we have visited in town after trying many others in smaller towns on the island. Giving 3* because we haven't tried any other taverna is town yet so we don't know the quality standard here (otherwise it would be 2* . Small portions, overpriced and not so good taste. Greek salad had better taste in kiosk on beach, the vegetables did not had much taste. Taste of other food was ok, but not something that would make me return.
