Bidra med feedbackThe first time here. The staff is very friendly and professional. Great customer service. Good food.
Very nice service. Food was amazing. I would recommend trying their AL Pastor meat in the Locos Nachos, or in a Super Burrito. Awesome! I will return.
Papusas are a dish that can be either amazing or awful. Don Julio's are the former. Rich, tasty, not overly greasy. Absolutely perfect. And the Papusa burger? A novelty for the super hungry that is delicious despite the novelty nature.
The dish may be a bit indulgent, but the food and service definitely make up for it. Where else can you find a Papusa burger or Tamale frito? The drinks were also enjoyable; we had the Guava Mimosa and the magical Hibiscus agua fresca. However, during my second visit, I was a bit disappointed. The tap water they served was quite harsh, but they did provide a bottle of water for free. Additionally, the server got my order wrong; I intended to order a fried tamale, but I had specifically requested one that wasn’t fried. It’s not a huge issue, but the fried version costs more. That said, I still believe the Papusas are just as good as the burger made with them as the bun, and I would highly recommend this place.
I have a couple of suggestions: the arbol chili salsa is great, but it doesn't really go well with chips—it’s more suited for enchiladas. It lacks the zing of a pico de gallo or something zesty with lemon or lime. The pico de gallo was delicious, but I had to ask for it. Thank you for the meal, and I wish you all the best! One last note: I expected the pupusas to be smaller; even the large size was sufficient to feed one or two people, making them great for freezing.
