Mountains Ice Cream - Rome

I ordered an ice cream sundae from doordash. For almost six dollars they ripped me off. Please see picture attached. I'm not ordering from here again.I also received a completely melted fruity pebbles milkshake. The cereal is soggy and the milkshake has a strange flavor. Doordash charged $20 for this very bad service. I don't recommend.

I brought my father-in-law here for the 1st time back in October and we really enjoyed it. I felt like I was going back in time getting ice cream when I was a kid. They have several different types of ice cream flavors to choose from and the service was very friendly! We live in TN, but we're from Rome, and will visit Mountains again when in town. Highly recommend!

DO NOT PATRONIZEMy Cousin I were walking Downtown Rome today (Thurs, 11-10-22). Randomly walked into Mountains to check out what kind of ice cream desserts were offered, as We planned to come back after we ate lunch.We walked in a young man walked to the front from the back. Not a big deal BUT No Greeting or even a Smile.MY 1st Question was: what Bakery Items were baked this AM (thinking that would be what I mite want). The young man w/brown hair in a bowl cut said “I don’t know, I’m just here til my sister, the owner, gets here”.2nd Question (comshe sells Hersheys Ice Cream? Owner’s Bstates tyoubrand also. My cousin I tasted 3 different Ice Creams ALL were good but the cherry Amaretto was the best. Not meaning anything Neg by it, I commented on the chocolate must not be a real favorite becoz I see frosty ice on the little bit of chocolate in bottom of container.He went Totally off starting with “You 2 are Rude, you’ve asked too many questions youre F…..g rude!! I WAS TRULY SHOCKED! Genuinely Shocked! My cousin said something to the effect of we’re just asking questions you don’t know any of the answers! He said “You 2 just need to F…..g leave! Get out!!!Now listen Closely, we are 2 Female Sr Citizens enjoying our day together, out for Lunch a Stroll in Downtown Rome!I was VERY offended with the language this young man used as I have raised 2 Very Respectful, Successful 2 grown sons (43 47) who would NEVER EVER Talk to ANY woman like that!As we left I became so burdened for him. What was his childhood like, what was going on in his life that seeds such Anger.If there’s a Reply of Denial to this by Mountains Old Fashioned Ice Cream (It’s Not Old Fashioned) I can Promise You it’s Fact! This Business will STAY in the Red!PS: some Time ago, my cousin had purchased a Cherry Amaretto Chocolate Fudge from Mountains Actually wanted to purchase more but there was none available in case. She asked if Mountains still carried it. The young man looked “put out” said he had no idea.OWNER, I’m Pretty Sure the Chamber of commerce will be involved soon as last part of incident was recorded (just voice).

It was my cousin 's first impression of Rome and the worst experience ever. The owner 's brother was there and wouldn 't give us any answers to questions we asked. He always said he didn 't know! He started cussing at us using the F word many times along with ****. We were really scared not knowing what he would do next. DO NOT support this business! '
