Aqui Kitchens - Roosevelt Gardens

Stopped by during lunch for some apps. Stephanie was our server and she was super nice and attentive. Quiet lunch, business was light but the ambiance was cute and casual. The food was great- we shared a few apps including the wings, dip platter the edamame. All were hits I’d recommend each! They have a cool happy hour program, as well as a Taco Tuesday deal, Ladies Night an ITB day. Their cocktail offerings are slammin- including a menu of Old Fashions. I’ll definitely be back during a happy hour to try some of their margs more food.

One of our favorite places to go for dinner or just a drink. The service is always great and the food is always delicious!

There is a woman named Stephanie who works the bar at this place. Who is rude and seems enjoy to go back and forth with patrons of this establishment. This review has nothing to do with the restaurant. I was told upon arrival by her where the order I was picking was located. I walked over to it, to examine the name on the bag. A young male manage walked over and I showed him the order on my phone. Then he wanted to see the name on the bag. I showed him the name. Then She said to me from the other side of the bar “don’t just take the bag”. But I already had the conversation with the manager who check the order. From her vantage point she could see I was speaking to him. I turned around to leave and I couldn’t shake the thought of her being disrespectful. I walked back over to her and she was still was complaining about something pertaining to the same issue. I asked her what did she say, she repeated the same words as before with the same disrespectful tone and body language. At this point the manager walked over and parted me from her. I don’t think it was necessary I wasn’t displaying any physically threatening postures to her nor did I have any intention to harm her. But as a male in today’s society I am looked at as the aggressor even when I am in opposition of personal disrespect. I asked her if she thinks this is an ok way to speak to adults. She said no, but held firm on her attitude. I then turned my attention to the manager I asked if that is an ok way for her to speak with adults. He said no it wasn’t and that he would handle it. I then asked her name to explain to ownership of this established that I have never been disrespected and made to seem as wrong as this before. And to have it happen while people dinning shows her lack of maturity, respect and common sense. She is a liability in action.

There was a hair baked into the cheese in my food. They offered to make me something different, which I guess would have been fine, but wanted to charge me for a second entree. I would have thought the manager would have come and spoken to us, but I had to ask to speak to the manager. The manager seemed dismissive and unsure of what to do, and no resolution was made. I am leaving more hungry and dissatisfied. Needless to say, I will not be coming back.
