Horan Mary - Roscommon

This restaurant is a great spot to enjoy a delicious full Irish breakfast. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick. I always leave feeling satisfied and full.

Roscommon seems to have difficulty excelling in the food department, with few exceptions. Horkans is mediocre at best, with service that can vary from poor to slightly better. If you enjoy being disappointed, this is the place for you.

Today, I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, hot, and served by incredibly friendly staff in a beautifully decorated, bright dining area. We will definitely return. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because my husband's chips, served with the fish, were much too large and chunky for our liking, more similar to wedges or roast potatoes. I exchanged them with the chips that came with my curry so we didn't have to request a change, but it's a pet peeve of ours - big chunks of potato really don't qualify as chips. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

I visited this restaurant while exploring Roscommon and I was extremely impressed! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were exceptional. I will definitely be returning in the future!
