The Driftwood - Rosses point

Amazing food, welcoming staff, such a wonderful evening

Service was poor. Food was good but staff attentiveness was very poor.

Just concerning the restaurant. The food isn’t bad, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The young girls serving seem to have a highly inflated opinion of themselves. No smiles/greetings, no cleaning of table before we ate after the previous customers had left it dirty, just a bit of a “too cool for school vibe”. Had better chowder and fish pie down the road.

Our room was a beautiful, snug room with a gorgeous bath and heavenly bed- perfect for after a day of walking to Coney Island or Knocknarea. The S2 bus stops outside every hour during weekdays. The breakfast and dinner were hearty and delicious. I highly recommend their Kraken Kaven cocktail. And the staff were wonderful-they gave us advice on where to go and how to get there as well as being warm and welcoming. They also sold beautiful cards done by a local artist which we now have on our bookshelves. We'll definitely be back and already feel a little homesick for Rosses Point and The Driftwood.
