Modern China - Rotherham

I want to have the chef's baby, This is the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had, I came to visit a friend in Rotherham and we decided to get a takeaway, I simply chose new modern from a list and I'm blown away, the staff were nice on the phone, the egg fried rice was fantastic, the colours of the food when unpacked was fantastic, the egg fried rice was like nothing I've ever had, so light and tasty, everything that came was clean, nothing over oiled or drowned in water. The thing that really got me was the sweet n sour sauce, simply out if this world, this is a must for a special evening.

We were staying at a local hotel and wanted something different to eat, so glad we tried Modern China, even though we did read the reviews and were apprehensive. We had the buffet, what a treat. Everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. Will definitely visit again and recommend. Reasonably priced too. As previous reviewers have mentioned, don’t be put off by the negative reviews, well worth a visit.

Absolutely perfect! The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was lovely. The prices were incredible too. We had a meal for two that included large appetizers, two main courses, two side dishes, coffee, and drinks throughout the meal, all for just £31.15. What a bargain!

Great for a casual meal! Eating from here is consistently excellent. I've dined here or ordered takeout more than 20 times, and I’ve never been disappointed. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is quite tasty, especially when you order their set menus. For instance, the set menu A for takeaway, which costs £18, is enough to feed two people generously. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the atmosphere is a bit bland, and sometimes the waitstaff has challenges with English, but those are minor issues. Additionally, the takeaway service is quick; you can usually pick up your order in about ten minutes.

We opted for the buffet along with some duck and pancakes, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I did notice that some other tables seemed to be experiencing difficulties, but thankfully, we didn't have any major issues and were more focused on the delicious food waiting for us. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!
