Wholly Smoked - Rotorua

I've always wanted to try Beef Wellington, and I finally had the chance at Wholly Smoked. I was not disappointed! The meat was tender and juicy. For dessert, I enjoyed the Apple and Rhubarb crumble, which was beautifully presented and delicious.

Group of 5 adults. Ordered a sharing platter which easily fed 4 of us and pork belly for the other. Meat and seafood were delicious not enough sides though (salad, fries and garlic bread). Cocktails were nice and strong and music was great

Really good meal, food came out a bit late as they thought we had already eaten and then asked us if we wanted dessert, and the pork ribs were a bit underwhelming, but other than that it was good all round.

The restaurant offers a good selection of food. The staff are friendly and cheerful. Food was fantastic. The serving size is big and very tastfeul and flavourful.

On the downside, the staff seemed a bit off-putting; they were standing outside with their arms crossed, which gave a desperate impression. Additionally, when they pointed out the specials while I was right next to the menu, it felt a bit condescending, as if they doubted my ability to read.
