Bidra med feedbackAnatomically, the liver is a special organ. It detoxifies stuff, aids in digestion (prob my fave bodily function , and is only found in animals with backbones. Livers even taste good (ILY foie gras . Livers are great and pink is pretty, so in general, drinking booze in moderation is recommended. But. If i were to choose a cider to drink to absurd Dionysian excess, the ciders of Mssr. Michel Jodoin are in my Top 3 of FUCKING GREAT CRAFT CIDERS that I choose to buy by the case whenever I visit my beloved MTL and choose to partake in an abusive relationship with my liver. Correction: the liver is a VERY special organ. The liver is the only visceral organ with the magic ability to regenerate. New livers for all! Drink this cider! :
While I was familiar with their ciders , buying them for summer pic-nic's I only heard about this place when I was looking for a nice hike that is dog friendly. Yes your heard right a hike. This is an awesome cider place, they give a free tour that teaches about the history of the place and a great cider teasing session for free as well. They also have a coll pic-nic area with tables and sometimes they will bring a band and sale food as well. And like a lot of places in the area they have apple picking. But lets get back to the hike, its hard to find a dog friendly hike in Quebec (I have no idea why), for 3$ p/p (they trust you to go tell them and pay) you can access a lovely hike, not too hard which is shaded and will show you some lovely views. The trail starts next to their house from the pic-nic area so I suggest to start with the tour, go for the hike and finish in a pic-nic with their great cider. This is a truly a place for everyone !
Second time at Cidrerie Michel Jodoin and I'm as satisfied from my visit as I was the first time. We did not opt for the guided tour, which I have done and find very informative, instead we went directly to the cider tasting, which was a world class experience. Our hostess was exclusively amazing, as soon as she found out we don't like sweet ciders she changed the bottles selected for tasting with some others that are closer to our preferences. The result was two very happy faces and a lot of wow exclamations. Of course we ended up buying some decent amount of bottles for home and an extra small one of the crispy hopes infused cider to share at the terrace. And what a terrace it is, beautiful view of the area from the bottom of the hill. In case you'd like to have more active Sunday then us you may wish to profit from the hiking trail that will bring you up to an even better view point. There are also picnic tables in the orchards, perfect for some snack and a bottle of delicious cider.
Very lovely location and friendly people. Cider products are of very high quality. They even gave us a great recommendation for a nearby lunch spot.
While I was familiar with their citizens, I bought them for summer pick-nic's I only heard from this place when I was looking for a nice hike, the dog is friendly. Yeah, you heard a hike. This is a fantastic apple wine place, they give a free tour that teaches about the history of the place and a great cedar teasing session free as well. They also have a puppet picnic area with tables and sometimes they bring a band and also sell food. And how many places in the area they have apple picks. But get back to the hike, its hard to find a dog friendly hike in Quebec (I have no idea why), for 3$ p/p (they trust you to tell them and pay) you can have a nice hike, not too hard, which is shaded and show you some beautiful views. The path starts next to her house from the picnic area, so I suggest starting with the tour, going for the hike and ending in a picnic with her big cedar. This is really a place for everyone!
