Hostel Café Koti - Rovaniemi

Great hostel! very clean, perfect location, healthy and delicious breakfast, and the sauna was so beautiful after a long day of activities

Postive: The location is in the city center The place is simple and a dorm saves a lot of money compared to regular rooms and Rovaniemi There are showers, toilets and a kitchen. Negative: Coming from another dorm in Helsinki which was cheaper than this one, I was expecting at least the same amount of service but I quickly got disappointed... There are 10 beds per room and no way to have privacy, at least a curtain would have been great. There are lockers put just enough for a backpack and a coat, if you have some luggage, there isn't much space so put them where you can. Depending on which bed you are in, you're also gonna have difficulties to get access to a plug. The shower and toilets are not very clean, neither is the kitchen... If you want toilet paper past 8 or 9 pm, good luck, try another toilet, and another, and another... And about the female dorm (since I did both female and mixed), the windows are oriented on the street and are absolutely not soundproof ! We could ear something as simple as a loud conversation or laugher on the street, so imagine at 6am when the snowplow works underneath the windows... Overall, the price is not worth the service, but in Rovaniemi on a budget, you don't really have a choice.

It is a little cold, but it is also good for the facility. There are plenty of toilet and shower facilities. There was no laundry service, but I had to fight it. Breakfast for this price, Hyeja wants to stay longer.
