Aux Delices des Crepes - Royan

After having eaten in one of the restaurants on the Route du Front de Mer on our first night in Royan and being very disappointed in the quality of the food and extremely slow service, Aux Delices des Crepes was a real breath of fresh air. We were greeted in a friendly manner by the waiter and given a menu to peruse. He also advised us on some dishes that we were not quite sure of translating them into English. The food arrived promptly and was well presented. I chose a salmon salad, which was delicious and followed it with Cafe Gourmand, which was imaginative and very more-ish. We enjoyed our meals there and in fact visited twice more during our five-night stay. The second and third time we were greeted by the waiter like old friends. The food and service was equally good on each occasion. The cost of the meals was reasonable too. The restaurant was popular with locals too, which is always a good sign.

We popped in this restaurant whilst visiting Royan last week and enjoyed a pleasant lunch. A party of four and all eating a different choice with no complaints. The restaurantIs clean, nicely decorated and the waiter was extremely pleasant. Our only disappointment was having to rush off and miss out on coffee in order to catch the ferry timings.
