Risotto House - Rutherford

We've been at the Risotto house for many years. It was always excellent, but the last few times we went, I ordered my favorites, the Risotto Formaggio, and it was not very good. Bland and tasteless would be an exact description. I'll never order it here again. We've been here recently with another couple and I doubt if we ever get back. The hostess was very rude and impatient. She had an acid lemon personality. The girl who cleaned the tables tried to clean our plates and we were not finished. She always asked if we were done and was clearly disturbed that we did not let them take our dishes. A glass of water and that was it, never filled again. The place wasn't even so busy. We had coffee and talked a little and we felt that the hostess and waitress looked at us as if they needed the table (it was not someone waiting). Instead of a relaxing dinner with friends, we made ourselves very worse. The Risotto House used to be one of our places, what happened?

I ordered food before departure and/or delivery. It was always delicious. My husband and I went there this last week. Ester was an incredible waitress and made every need. She showed us to the perfect wine shop where we could get a good wine at a good price. The food was so excellent. I had the short ribs in a port wine sauce with Risotto. There was no way to finish my meal because I eat very small meals all day. So when I packed my food, I asked extra port wine sauce because it's incredible. They gave it to me and the left were wonderfully laying another order for the short ribs and asking for a side of potatoes in addition to the risotto because the potatoes go well with the sauce. Esther totally understood. She knew that the sauce was so good that I could go to the restaurant and only drink the sauce!!! She's great. The food is great. We had a wonderful time.

I never experienced that. I paid $22 for left bank transfers. I've never been hurting food in my life. NEW

The food was good. But unpredictable is a waitress in an Italian restaurant that has not only abused Bruschetta but corrected me because she is so confident in her misunderstanding.

It was an ok experience, had the caprese with fresh mozzarella , Tom, and prosciutto, it literally had 3 small slices of prosciutto, and also had for an app seafood salad , no taste what?s so ever, the dinner portions were very small, I had veal frachese and my girlfriend had veal balsamic, food was good just small portions. Hostess I guess was was manager, hostess and server all in one. Never came over to check if our food was ok. And the greeting was not good at all when we walked in. Won?t be back for awhile u til I find out they have improved in these areas.
