Panera Bread - Rutland City

The atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered the French onion soup served in a bread bowl. My main feedback is that there wasn’t much soup inside, and it could’ve benefited from additional cheese. Additionally, the cheese should really be melted under a broiler for better texture and flavor. I wonder if I would have received more soup if I'd chosen it in a regular bowl instead. Also, you need to ask for butter, which is surprising given the amount of bread they provide. Why isn't butter available as a condiment without having to request it? Overall, I dined in.

Terrible. While picking the lettuce that had turned brown out of my salad, I found a piece of rubber, about 4 inches long in my salad. When I called to tell them she asked What do you want a refund or a new salad . At this point my lunch is over and she said delivery was not an option. The tone with the first employee and subsequent manager could not have been more disinterested. Additionally the lack of shock that there was a piece of rubber in a customers food was SHOCKING!
