Fire House, The - Sacramento

Very beautiful restaurant, POSH! Service was excellent to the extreme. Nicolas was our waiter. He was professional and friendly. The rest of the staff was equally excellent. I was a bit disappointed in my main course. I had the venison special. It was cooked perfectly but it didn’t have much flavor. Except for the size (2 rib rack) it could have been beef. I don’t want venison to taste like mutton but I think it should have a little wildness to it. The amuse bouche was very tasty as was the desert. My wife wouldn’t share the scallops but the Jerusalem artichokes that came with it were really good. Cocktail and wine were also top notch.

The service is second to none. The food was excellent, this is probably the best restaurant in Sacramento that doesn’t require a three month wait to get a reservation.
