Bidra med feedbackWe ordered take out and while picking up the food, the dull atmosphere of the restaurant coupled with a smell of old recycled oil that has percolated to every inch of this establishment set the stage for things to come. That tempered our expectations and the dry tasteless chicken makhani, undercooked rice and chewy roti summed up the abyss this restaurant has hit over the course of its long and seemingly arduous journey that hopefully can come to an end. In short, mediocre food at a premium price. Avoid, unless hunger is an impending calamity and this is the only place left to eat.
Wife and I went to lunch buffet here today and everything was delicious. So much options and quick service. Quality of food is top notch. Lettuce for salad was a little pink in some spots but not too bad enough to stop me from eating it. I loved the fish they had there, it was awesome. Garlic naan was great too. I'd say one of the best Indian restaurants in Natomas. Love the decor and the cleanliness.
First impression: great decor, classy silverware, and spotless water glasses! Food: Tikka Masala (medium heat) was a smidget too hot for me, would order the mild next time. Naan bread is perfect and rice pudding is the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess. Also came on a buffet day and for $19.25 I would say it's worth it. Chai comes with buffet and was delicious. I'm sure other people share my views about the value because the place was full for Thursday lunch. The wait staff is very attentive and kind! Definitely coming back on a buffet day and will add this to my takeout list!
Updated review lunch buffet only. India Oven is back to its pre COVID glory. This review is a little late. Service here has always been outstanding, and their food is great. Staff keep your beverage topped off, and clear dirty plates away quickly. Our past few visits to their buffet have had all our favorite items.
Me and my girl came here today and did dine in. The place was nice enough to hold an event . The servers came and took our order quickly and kept up with everything we neeeded. I like this place but it isn't my favorite. The butter chicken was fire but the lamb curry didn't have a flavor I liked. The chutney was good and my girlfriend really liked this place though. We both think Benares is still our favorite but this place is a good third to our top spots. I tried a chicken samosa and it taste a lot like chicken egg roll. It was a good flavor for my tastebuds. I like it . I would go for the butter chicken
