L & L Hawaiian Barbecue - Sacramento

Every time I try to come here, they're closed. I have been trying to come for a few months now. Online, it says they are open but when you show up they are not. I recently went on 2/18/22 and there is a sign on the door that states they are closed until further notice. They should really update their hours online and say they are Temporarily Closed so people would stop wasting gas.

My family ordered Hawaiian Boys for pickup. We called it in and they texted when the order was ready. I shared the mix bbq plate and it was delicious. The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Mac salad and rice were standard, but I appreciate that they give you some steamed veggies too. Overall, definitely better than L&L!

Food is not fresh. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate with an order of musubi. I waited 10 minutes as my order was prepared . All my food was completely cold, the spam in the musubi was old, cold and completely dehydrated and overbearing with rice. The place looked much better than the quality of food. Terrible disappointment .

I've eaten here several times and the food is good. However the wait time for fast food should never be 40 minutes. Probably won't be going back anytime soon.

Nah. Too many shortcomings. First the good. The filling in the Crab Rangoon was the best and crabtacular ? est I've had, to include thousand dollar tab places in L.A. and the S.F. bay area. The ... dough ? around them was just off, to the point of being wrong. I think this was a frozen, pre made product; maybe there's something they can do to improve the preparation that will make it more pleasant. There was no customary red dipping sauce with the Crab Rangoon a final note of disappointment. The burger was obviously also a premade patty, and apart from the bun, was sub mediocre. The bun was really a unique, soft, fresh variation on the usual theme oh, it was the one thing that separated this burger from high school cafeteria food. Now, who goes to a Hawaiian barbecue and orders a burger? Fair enough. Maybe they shouldn't be rated on this. On to the Spam musubi: undercooked, hard kernels of rice. There was one customer finishing their meal when I came, and one arrived about halfway through my wait. This was not a busy time of day. For whatever reason, this place couldn't deliver on my single visit. I will try it again. The staff was friendly and clearly trying.
