Sag Pizza - SAG HARBOR

When I was a kid, my dad used to say a fool, and his money are easily parted. Well, this is the pizza place of fool goes. Last night at 8:30 my niece decided she was hungry. I took her for a slice of pizza only to find out you cannot buy a slice of pizza in the evening so I decided to order a $17. 10 inch pie. When I got home and looked at the pie, I was shocked it was slightly larger than a normal New York City slice of pizza so I measured it and it was barely 8 inches. I felt ripped off I’m never going there again. Plus the pizza was like four bytes per slice.

The new Sag Pizza is fantastic! We tried several different pies, all of which were really good, and the outdoor ambiance was delightful on a lovely summer day. Our favorite was the pepperoni pizza, especially when enjoyed with some of the delicious dipping sauces for the crust. Food: 5/5.

We ordered the #1 San Marzano, #2 Soppressata and #9 the Vongole. We all agreed that the Soppressata was the best. The Vongole would have been my favorite but I 'd rather pay more for more than 5 clams and the sauce wasn 't evenly distributed, so two slices were great, the rest was meh.I ordered the cucumber cooler cocktail, it was AWESOME. Apparently, they can make it hot and I highly recommend it. You get the cool cucumber flavor first but then the heat sneaks up on you. It 's not overwhelming at all, nicely well balanced!

This was my second visit, and they always seem to be busy. The pizzas were decent, but I noticed that garlic knots weren't on the menu; however, they were really good when I asked for them. The homemade ranch and truffle aioli were fantastic! Our server seemed overwhelmed with too many tables to manage. Thankfully, the manager was very attentive, making sure to seat guests, handle checkouts, and assist with clearing tables. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.

Okay okay...We've been a sleep on Sag Pizza and regret ever overlooking this gem.Adorable inside and the outdoor seating area was lovely the night we came to our senses and visited.Highlights were:Summer Squash PizzaThe Farmers PizzaWe added a Ranch3 Crust Dipper and it was yummy.Vegetarian options: Discuss needs with server.Parking: Parking within a few blocks.Wheelchair accessibility: Access from street roomy dining area.
