Cafe de la Paix - Saint-Chinian

At the rear of this unprepossessing restaurant is a lovely walled shady garden set out for meals. Slow service was forgiven because the waiters were all handsome and charming young men with a smattering of English ?[students]. The plat du jour had rabbit, turkey and mackerel on the menu and sadly the rose wine was warm, but it was such a pretty place.....but busy.

Very pleasant garden to sit and have lunch on a very hot day ,we were there at 12 and it was nearly full by 1pm.Very good choice also a vegetarian choice the young lady who served us was very attentive and the meal was excellent value.Toilets spotless and friendly staff

Lovely terrace in the back garden, very good value for money. Staff attentive and very efficient. We have been in Saint-Chinian many times but never thought such a good place was there.

The food was delicious and the service good. It's no wonder this place is crowded every lunch time. We sat out in the tree shaded courtyard. The place was empty when we arrived at 12:30 but within minutes, all the tables were full.

Excellent good value and charming helpful staff. We go there regularly, it's worth the drive. It's now one of our 'must goes'.
