Village Inn Of St. Ignace

Google does not understand this is a restaurant, lol. We've gone to Village Inn at Mackinaw Island as well. I'm not sure if the portions got smaller at all locations, but the plank broiled white fish dinner is much smaller in St. Ignace. The plank itself is about half the size it used to be, fewer vegys, just a breath of potatoes, and a smaller filet. I was disappointed. I was hungry, but it was just as good!! Really good! The waitress was really good, very friendly and did a great job. We'll be back. We love the U.P.!! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

We ate at the restaurant. The service was great, but the food wasn’t the greatest. Got the chili con queso with no chili. Not sure if I would call the cheese, queso. Maybe more of a cheese paste, but it tasted all right. Had the meal they are “known for.” It was instant mash potatoes and fish was very fishy tasting. Maybe because we came at the end of season and the food was older ‍. Service: 5 Location: 4

My boss, his wife, and I stopped in here for food. It was not a disappointment!! Very wonderful service, our waitress named Andi, Was a lovely lady. Her and my boss chatted about his service in the military. Overall, an amazing and great gal! We ordered the white fish dish (what they are famous for! It did not disappoint and was both very good and very filling. The dish was made up very nicely (in my opinion, it was beautifully made up . If you're a history nut like us you'd the vintage/old photos decorated around the restaurant. All I believe are of the area over time. Overall it was a great place to stop in!!!! My whitefish dinner and mashed potatoes were served cold even with only 2 other couples in the dining room. The server asked me if I wanted a baked potato instead. Sure I'll try one. She took my plate back and 10 minutes later she returned it back with the cold mashed potatoes on it with the whitefish. She brought the baked potato on a separate plate. The baked potato was a old leftover from previous days. For 25 bucks you expect more. Not even an apology from them. Don't waste your time and money going there. St. Ignace is full of better alternatives. Service: 1
