The Boxcar - Saint Marys

The Boxcar has really declined recently. This is the third time in the last six weeks that I tried to order wings, only to find out they were out of stock. Their excuse is that they’re having trouble sourcing them. If that’s the case, they should either remove wings from the menu or find a different supplier. I ended up ordering a Boxcar burger and fries instead. Unfortunately, the quality of the burger has decreased, and they’ve changed the fries from the delicious steak fries they used to serve to some cheap, batter-coated variety. Additionally, for three burgers, three fries, and three sodas, the bill came to $45. I understand that restaurants are facing tough times, but the quality of the food shouldn’t suffer as a result. This place isn’t even average anymore. I used to be a regular, visiting at least once a week, but I’m sorry to say I won’t be returning.

We have dined at Boxcar several times for lunch and once for their Sunday brunch.

The food was absolutely fantastic!
