128 Cafe - Saint Paul

This caffe is a real little gem. I took my mother here to Mother's Day, we can't wait to go back! the personal was very attentive. eating was phenomenal! the chef often changes the menu to keep fresh local food on the table. this is a wonderful place to lunch with a good friend or a good old date at night. I will definitely return.

Tucked into a little corner of a non-descript building in St. Paul, 128 Cafe was a delight. We got a reservation because they took part in a charity fund-raiser, and took a chance though we liked what we saw of the menu and online reviews. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, the food and the service. We would go back again, both the salmon I had and the pork chop my wife dined on were delicious. From heritage pork to the umami bomb vinaigrette we had a nice treat. Even had dessert (which we don 't usually do these days)...it was that good.

Best Dessert experience EVAR!!! The Banana-Rhubard pastry with vanilla ice cream, brown sugar crumbles and cinnamon...omg! So, good.

Everything on the menu is so delicious from the bread to the dessert, appetizers, main courses and the intimate atmosphere reminds one of a small European or French Canadian restaurant. Really a fantastic place!
