Barrow Brewing Company - Salado

I had been eager to visit Evil Catfish ever since I found it at a liquor store in Waco. Today, my girlfriend and I finally made the trip on what turned out to be an extremely busy day at the brewery. The tasting flight, featuring Evil Catfish, Mystery of the Deep, and Texas Vicar Stout, was definitely worth the drive and the wait in line. My fourth choice was a lager, which I don’t usually go for, so it ended up being my least favorite. However, the great service and inviting atmosphere will definitely bring us back for more visits.

The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, creating a pleasant atmosphere, but the beer was just mediocre, which was my main reason for visiting. I did enjoy the nearby beer/wine bar and the coffee at a place called the Strawberry Patch, so my trip wasn’t a complete waste; otherwise, I would have rated it lower than 3 stars.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The service was excellent, and they offered a wide variety of beers. My favorite was the cider beer. My daughter and I visited on a Saturday afternoon.

They have beer to match anyone's taste. I recommend the MYSTERY... Double IPA. Food vendors are just outside near the shaded seating area. The tasting room is clean and AC is nice and cold. The beer tenders are very informative and friendly. Come check this spot out
