Bidra med feedbackOne of my favorite breakfast spots! The place is clean and efficient, and they serve generous portions. It truly feels like a visit to the bayou! I can't get enough of their crab cakes and fried green tomatoes!
The food was amazing, and the service was delightful, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. I can't wait to return!
The decor has a Louisiana theme, but the only thing that really felt authentic was the Tabasco sauce on the table. Now, let's talk about the bathroom—this was my first and last visit here. I ordered the beignets, and I'm not sure what I got, but I would not recommend them. They were dense and cardboard-like with almost no powdered sugar. There was zero flair—no Emeril Lagasse 'bam!' I also ordered the 1/2 lb chicken-fried steak, which came with three eggs, hash browns, and sourdough toast. The chicken-fried steak was super thin, limp, and flavorless, lacking any seasoning. The eggs were perfect over medium, and the hash browns were golden brown with crispy edges. Unfortunately, the hash browns tasted like they had been cooked in old oil or spray, giving them a rancid flavor. In fact, the sourdough toast ended up being the only thing I really enjoyed. I could only manage to eat half of the three beignets, half of the two steak patties, and about a third of the hash browns—though I mixed them with hot sauce, ketchup, and ice cream to cover up the greasy taste. Everything felt processed and far from fresh. They claimed to offer premium juices, but what I got was bland juice from a machine or a can (I would have been shocked if it was fresh). I ordered orange juice, and I also tried the caffe mocha, which tasted like something from one of those café machines you find in cheap diners. The water was never refilled, and my waiter disappeared halfway through my meal. While this was a bit disappointing, I still tipped, though I made sure it reflected my experience. I’m sorry to say, this place can't be my "huckleberry"!
No taste, my dish potatoes were not cooked and tasted more raw and the garnels did not taste as if they had been cooked enough, we did not end it sadly.
C'est bon (it's good). This themed location (Louisiana Huckleberry Finn Novel) transports you to a little place in Louisiana (humidity NOT included) must was on point. The food lacks my level of Louisiana spice and flamboyance but makes up for it in portion sizes. Bring your appetite and a flare for the dramatic decor. On this day I had the NOLA (New Orleans Louisiana) scrambler. My bride has a Cajun omelet with chili topping (chili topping, really? It was an amazing combo). Everyone needs a little Louisiana good time. So, what you waiting for. Laissez les bon temps rouler (let the good times role).
