The Lily Pad - Saltville

The staff is wonderfully friendly and welcoming! The food is incredible, especially considering the limited space they have. However, I did notice a roach in the restroom, so I recommend checking your food carefully!

Update: The owner reached out to me to apologize and even offered a refund. I don't need a refund; I just wish I had found a better way to express my concerns. I truly don’t want to see a small local business fail, and I hope they can succeed with improved burgers and staff who accurately prepare orders.

Opened in the middle of the pandemic, this little sandwich and treat shop is an unexpected find. Friendly staff and owners, excellent use of limited interior space, a lovely patio, dog-friendly, and a variety of menu items and drinks that aim to serve all tastes. We had BLT's and the homemade apple cinnamon cake...and it was wonderful. Prices are more than reasonable and everything is custom made to order...including their attention to health with air fried potatoes and other items! Seasonal specials accent the wide menu. Will visit again when we are in the area for sure. Oh, and the owner has a passion for rescue animals and has several fundraising purchase opportunities on site where funds go to the regional animal rescue organizations! Win-win-win.

One may not know at first just passing by The Lily Pad is a hidden gem in the historic town of Saltville VA. It may seem to be a smaller place but don't be fooled it is overflowing with great foods and drinks! The owner and staff are awesome people always greeting you with warmth and great energy. I was happy to see how clean it is kept which is an important part of any food service establishment. They are also pet friendly and WONT leave your fur babies sadly hoping for a treat. Whether you choose to sit inside the well kept dining area or outside on the patio area you won't be disappointed with the tasty meal or the experience. They are constantly adding and improving menu items so I guarantee everyone will see something they will enjoy! Stop by and see Missy and ReRe and the gang. It's well worth the stop!!
