Bidra med feedbackAwesome hotel with beautiful beach front rooms. We had a very clean room with a private balcony where we could see monkeys, hummingbirds, and parrots. Garden and pool has tons of shade. The view of the ocean while eating breakfast is fabulous. Excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay.
Wonderful little modest hotel with a local feel in a fantastic location. Very clean and comfortable. Great pool and only steps to the ocean. Nice breakfast included in the morning. This was my second stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Please check the safe carefully before leaving. I put my gold chain with a religious pendant (that was very sentimental) in the safe while swimming. Husband got out the other items but necklace was left behind. I did not notice until a very kind staff member emailed me but by then we had left. I emailed and called many times to have to shipped to me or have friend who lives in CR pick it up. But no response. I offered my credit be charged for mailing but no response from owner. After several months I gave up. Very disappointed with the owner.
A really lovely quiet spot! You're on the beach but just far enough from the center of town that there's only the ocean and night sounds when drifting off. Our room was simple but very clean. It had a nice large ceiling fan, refrigerator, and a large shower (which, after having stayed at multiple locations, I was pleased not only of the size but the availability of hot water and immediate drainage . The landscaping makes the place magical, they really put a lot of love into the curation and maintenence of the gardens. Super delicious breakfast included, had the tipico each day and it was fresh, delicious, and filling. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's worth mentioning that we were likely the youngest guests at 39 and 40, no rowdy kids or 20-somethings, so maximum opportunities for naps, reading in hammocks, and sitting quietly outside your room in the evening to enjoy the sunset sky and birdsong. The pool was clean and meticulously kept, great for an after ocean laze (after showering off the sand in the outdoor shower, of course! . This isn't the place to come for cushy, though it has plenty on offer, it's the place to come for peace- which is far superior to our taste. Looking forward to our next trip already and we will certainly be staying again!
This place is heavenly. The cabinas are lovely, wood and white and chapel-like, the ocean breeze sounds of the waves so relaxing. Rooms are clean and well ventilated, mine hd a powerful ceilin fan, desk and chair, and small fridge. The grounds have lots of flowering shrubs and trees, and incredible amount of delicious, tree-ripened mangoes fall from the sky attracting iguanas and beautiful birds. Howler monkeys can be heard from a not-so far distance and the singing of crickets and other insects at night along with the crashing waves, best sleeps of my life. The big clean pool has loungers and an outdoor shower for your sandy feet as the hotel is right on the ocean. The shore is great for beachcombing with plenty of intact shells and more coral than I have ever seen. The breakfast options are basic but delicious, and the coffee is very good, with a soda right next door for lunch and dinner. All this just a ten minute walk along the beach to town centre. It's a stunningly preserved but well-loved retro hotel, well run at low-capacity by a kind couple and one cook/housekeeper, and is closed during low season. Very quaint and low-key. A perfect place.
