Bidra med feedbackIn one word, the food is exquisite at this restaurant. The service is also excellent. The only downside is the terrible acoustics in the location, making conversation challenging. Despite this, the overall experience is elevated by the phenomenal seafood and preparation.
The San Diego location offers the same quality of food as the Newport and Malibu locations but the location itself is terrible. Do not go if you have to sit outside, homeless will bother you over the wall and the noise and smell is terrible. Save yourself some money and go to another place in a better location.
Omakase was an amazing experience. Everything was delicious and well worth the price.
We came here for dinner. We had a reservation. Very much recommended! Our server, Terry K was fantastic! She was attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu and gave excellent recommendations. We had the Brussels Sprouts Dry Miso as an appetizer. It was so delicious. For the Entrees we shared the Black Cod Miso, Free Range Chicken with Teriyaki on the side, and the Vegetable Toban Yaki. The cod just melted in our mouths. It was hard to share that! lol. The chicken was tender and moist. The Vegetable Toban Yaki was a perfect side dish. Absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend the Black Cod Miso as the dish they are most well known for….I can see why! My taste buds want more and more and more!! All the servers and staff that we came into contact with really made our entire experience just perfect!
Cool ambience, very good sushi however I have enjoyed comparable if not better at Teikoku in PA and Sagami in NJ. For the hype about how high end the fish is, I was not as impressed. I also lived in Japan so admittedly, I may be a sushi snob. That said, creative dishes, cool scene, very good. Just not 5 star in my opinion for the price you pay.
