Trattoria Catanzaro

This place was so cosy, decorated beautifully for Christmas, and we’re so glad we went! We had some delicious red wine, were given a complimentary starter of courgette, breadsticks (with amazing homemade chimichurri) and olives, and then had fettuccine pastas (again, came with some complimentary...bread). The pastas tasted so good delicious and fresh, and generous portion sizes! Would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants Italian food in San Cristobal. The service was brilliant, prices reasonable, and we’d 100% return!

This is italian food brought to another level of authenticity. Home made food. Passion and nice explanations of the owner. And to end your meal you need to try the family desert and a glass of home made limoncello. Prices are nice too.

Exceptional Italian restaurant in San Cristobel. We tried to go on our penultimate night in the town but the restaurant was full so we made a reservation for the following night. It did not disappoint. Andreas was a delight to deal with and his service...was excellent. He spoke very good English as well as speaking to the other tables in Spanish. I had the meat filled pasta with bolognese sauce and it was like being in Italy. The pasta is freshly hand made by the restaurant and it was lovely. I cannot rave about it more! It was the best food we have had so far in Mexico and I would highly recommend to others.

This is a small authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of the city. if they are looking for a large, homemade Italian taste, this is for them! the portions are great and the taste is even better. Andrea, the owner and the server, is an amazing soul that has made our experience even better. he told us strata from his village in Italy and made us feel very welcome! the food tasted fresh and very authentic, directly from italia.
