We hit Joe's Crab Shack during Comic-con, every year, though not very often in between. We always enjoy it; the service is friendly and efficient, the food is good, and the price point is fine for the location. I've enjoyed the blackened chicken Caesar, the Voodoo chicken fingers, shrimp, crab, etc. The place is fully accessible, with van parking, ramps, etc.
I was so excited to have some fresh crab and I was really disappointed because three legs of crab was about 50$ and I got the steam pot and it was not that great lol was not as fresh and buttery and good as you would expect crab to be in the end we paid 130$ for two meals and it wasn?t worth it maybe worth 20$ . Honestly if your going to spend money on seafood pick somewhere else.
It was my first time coming to this location, I used to go to the one that was located in Fashion Valley. I went here with my two daughters and had a great time. Our server Isaiah (surely not spelled that way, sorry) was great and the other staff was cool as well and seemed happy to work there (which is always good). My daughters liked it and had fun also and we will be going again.
Decent food for takeout, but nothing super special about it. Maybe in person it's better. The fish tacos were fine. A bit light on the fish and heavy on the tortilla. The tacos are served with chips and white nacho cheese dip. It was ok, and needed some flavour. The chips were crisp and thin. The winner for flavour were the great balls of fire. They were spicy, but not too much. The outside was very crisp, not greasy and tasted pretty good. All that being said, I was eating takeout. Everything may have been better at the restaurant. If I'm in the area I would try eating in to see if it was better.
