Bidra med feedbackAmbiente, service and eating were all top notch. small dinge make a great difference for us when they celebrate a lot of money at dinner and fall and kingfisher not disappointed. everything had so much taste and was great fun to eat. the waiter was on the point with his recommendations and we cannot wait to go back.
Absolutely dear kingfisher as return customer. starting from the service and personal is every friendly helper to welcome them in the restaurant. the cocktail menu is such a joy. I love the Asian influenced aromen in the cocktails. have you still to go to the wine menu! personal favorites are the mule on the minimalism menu and the saigon on the maximumism menu. the courts are designed to share, and I have made 4 dishes for 2 people each time (or if they want to try one of the big nets, I would 2 shares plus a big pornstar). the courts are incredible. flavors that work well, but do not overwhelm, so they can really enjoy them. personal favorites are the wings and the wild mushroom conge.
Was able to make reservations about the website and a $20 deposit is required to keep everyone seated and credited to their bill after eating. a great essexperince added in the neighbourhood and really a unique one with Vietnamese aromen. the drinks were perfect, I went with the mezcal instead of tequila ananas choice and it was quite refreshing. concerning eating, we started with the canvachi, which was my least favorite, as the grassy vinegar was too overwhelmed, where one could not enjoy the rest of the aromen in the plate. but the rest was amazing. the hokkaido scallops were cooked for perfection and ordering. they can smell the nuoc mum (fish sauce) on the crispy chicken drumsticks (no flats) and the diving sauce perfectly paired. my favorite was the healed that was served with a side of reisnudel. the bark wagyu is also a tasty to enjoy. they were out of the duck, but also had the canpachi kama (drilled collar) from the menu as special. do not hesitate to ask if there is something not listed. to finish the meal with both deserts that the Cassava cake was with passionsfruit caramel, I had to resist that the plate lick and my spoon it was so good. concerning vanilla with coffee syrup, was just as delicious and could not better end this culinary exterior. also 20% gratulation is automatically added to their bill fyi.
The long expected arrival of kingfisher was certainly worth waiting. from hosting pop-ups in recent years to today firmly established in golden hill, the restaurant offers the best Vietnamese French options they can find in all san diego. the personal before place was very friendly and pleasant for our overall experience and made our eating experience much more pleasant. most dishes on the menu are made to share. for our two person table we had four small tellers as well as a cocktail and were full. I look forward to the return and the way through the rest of the menu.
It was hard to get a reservation here so I was excited to try the new hot spot in town, it does require a $20/person down payment upon reserving a table but you can cancel with 24 hour notice. The jungle fang cocktail was great, could easily drink a few of those! Expect to spend at least $150/couple, (3 dishes 3 drinks) there’s a required 20% tip on the bill for fair wages. The striped bass was crispy and topped with a nice sauce, the buttered rice accompanying it with dehydrated shrimp was a very good pair 32), partner loved the beef tartare with quinoa. I did not particularly love the curry and baguette but the veggies in it were soft and flavorful. I will try the congee next time and shrimp papaya salad!
