Newbreak Coffee Cafe - San Diego

I enjoyed an açaí bowl and a flat white coffee. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks were excellent. The location is fantastic, as it’s right across from the beach.

I waited around 30 minutes for my burrito, and when I asked the manager about the delay, she said it would be ready when it was finished. During my wait, I noticed 12 other orders coming out of the kitchen before mine was even being prepared. The manager didn't take my suggestions for improving customer service seriously. I wouldn’t recommend dining here if you're on vacation.

I recently visited OB while in Vegas, and I did my research on coffee shops I wanted to check out. This was my top choice, and it did not disappoint! I had the turmeric oat milk loaf (yum!) and the rolled pistachio baklava. I also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, which was AMAZING! The sandwich was one of the best I've ever had, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was a delightful and fresh lunch. I sat at an outside table where I enjoyed the cool sea breeze while sipping on my iced coffee. The view was stunning! The location is easy to access during the day, though it can be a bit pricey. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they offer some vegan options as well. I can't wait to try their breakfast next time!

Newbreak Cafe was perfection! Great location, loved the vibe and the food was refreshing. We had the grilled Cubano and Turkey packaging. They were fresh and exactly what we needed. This place is a special jewel in OB. A certain must if you are in the area!

Wonderful little place right across from the lifeguard building next to the pier in OB. Great selection of coffee and nice food. I really enjoyed the Viennese latte and my gf loved her cold brew. We had the veggie sausage sandwich (vegan) and the shukshuka (I think that's what it's called). Both were absolutely delicious and we would get them again.
