Bidra med feedbackI've eaten some pastries and coffee, decided to come here for the whole review. The service was good, they were nice. I was disappointed when the coffee was loaded with milk. The chocolate croissant was fine. Definitely not a fan of carrot cake.
Super cute place in the corner! My favorite is the fruit tarte! they have individual size and a bigger one that serves 8-10/12 people it states on their site. I placed an order through the phone since their website was under construction, super easy. There a bunch of other pastries to try of course and they also have baguette sandwiches and coffee! The beignets however are only sold on the weekends.
Stopped by for some treats Sunday morning and tried all five of their tarts. Parking wasn't too bad, line was long but moved along fast, and service was friendly. Pear: very simple in it's sweetness, thin enough for a small sweet snackFruit: the fruit was very sweet and juicy, loved the almond paste and buttered crust to hold it togetherLemon: while the marshmallow or meringue made this tart looking beautiful, it overpowered the soft tangy lemon flavor Chocolate: like eating chocolate mousse in a buttered crust, had nice flavor of chocolate, not too bitter or too sweetSo fun coming each time!
The location is idyllic- in the corner of a small strip mall in a wooded area that is peaceful with nice seating to enjoy a weekend brunch which is what we did. The service was good- no complaints. The food, however, didn't meet my expectations- maybe because I was expecting more given the story of the founders etc. the crust on the tart was good but the chocolate custard left a lot to be desired that made the overall experience okay- not great. The choux on the eclair was okay and the crème pat was lumpy so I was not impressed. The quiche had a good filling to crust ratio but the egg was grainy. Both sandwiches were good. So overall the experience of sitting on a sunny patio on a brisk spring morning enjoying brunch was spot on- I'll probably just stick to the breakfast sandwich, if there is a next time.
A solid french bakery. Everything is pretty tasty. Is it the same as going to France? No, but it's a nice little place to get a bite to eat, and even something for lunch or dinner later. They have food packaged to go and some things you can take home for a nice dinner. It's kind of in the middle of suburbia. So you'd have to go out of your way to stop by unless you live near. But there is parking in the lot and lots of outdoor tables (nothing inside the tiny shop). Friendly service and reasonable prices. Lots of variety, depending on what you like. I had an apricot danish last time I was here. It was really nice.
