Fatted Calf - San Francisco

I recently visited a charming butcher shop in Hayes Valley and was pleased to find some excellent cured meats, including high-quality Guanciale. The staff were all very friendly, and the overall quality of the products is outstanding. Though it’s a bit on the pricey side, I believe it's well worth it!

Charming boutique and butcher shop featuring a diverse selection of meats. They provide a variety of specialty food products, cheeses, cured meats, and fresh cuts. It's the perfect spot to grab pâté for a gathering, ingredients for a charcuterie board, or meat for an elegant dinner. Just be aware that this is an upscale butcher shop, catering to a discerning clientele. The staff was very friendly.

This is the best place in Napa! The meats are fantastic. As a meat lover, I've dined here more times than I can count. The roast beef is incredible—it's so tender, it melts in your mouth! The Spanish-style salami is fantastic too. Everything is top-notch, and the staff is friendly and always willing to help. Highly recommend!

Small but tasty, they offer an array of different salumi including lamb bacon!! Their sandwiches which are also tasty. So many different salumis you have to just ask to try them. The folks behind the counter are attentive, kind, friendly and most important helpful. Seems almost like they live to share their meaty knowlege with you, just ask n see! They also have ready to go packs of their most popular meats as well as a few things I didnt expect like fresh baked pretzels (the bomb) comes with a spicy mustard (warning really spicy) also dried mushrooms and other accoutrements. I cant wait to try my lamb bacon, Ill let you know in an update yummy or not, I will definetly be back, these guys do it right.

Amazing local butcher! We've become regulars at Fatted Calf the last few months. The staff are are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful (while never being condescending if we don't know something about the meat we're interested in). We especially love their charcuterie meats excellent selection and quality!
