El Girasol - San Jose

Great food ,micnchladas,service ,live music,one of the best in San Jose ?

As is typical of these places, the Mexican music is wonderfully loud, almost bordering on being harmful to your hearing.However, the food is decent, the prices are affordable and the place is bright and clean and the service by staff is better than I would have expected..you know what, I might as well have another michelada while I'm still here.

Beer is way overpriced, talk about Price Gaughing! Traveled all over the country and have never paid over $40 for (4) 12 oz beers, prices are ridiculous! Not even at international airports do they charge this much!

Food isn't bad, ambiance a little too rough for my liking ..they have very aggressive security (for some) meanwhile others are free to snort I don't know what up their noses while I'm eating literally next to them...three stars just for the food though .

Terrible experience. The staff spends too much time chatting with customers, causing it to take over an hour just to get your food. None of the staff are wearing masks, the tables are dirty, and the water is not clean. They do not disinfect surfaces between customers, and there was flammable gas inside the building.
