Bidra med feedbackI've gotta say, this may be one of the best bar ideas and executions (no pun intended) that I've ever seen. Five Points is based on the real life characters and happenings portrayed in the movie Gangs Of New York. Not only is the decor stunning, but the cocktails are out of this world. I came for Happy Hour and loved it so much, I stuck around for the jam band Jazz session later in the night, and then proceeded to shut the place down!!! I had the Blood, List, and Diamonds, their slightly different take on a Vieux Carre. It was smooth, not too sweet, and strong. And the addition of a luxardo cherry puts it over the top. Tyler was an incredible host and bartender and gave me the history of the place and decorative style. There's even a little speakeasy room where you can have private events, or they open if it gets crazy on the weekend. Even the bathrooms are decorated with hand painted scenes from the gangs. Because they do not serve food on Monday, they are pretty relaxed about letting you bring munchies from outside locations. I did have to run out to get something to eat, but I was back for the music. Every time I'm back in San Jose, I'm definitely going to drop in and say hi
Funky place that you love when you first visit. the drinks are pointed notches, which is most important. the food offers are varied and delicious, so that everything in all should find happiness drinking and eating. the waiting staff were attentive, barkeepers were entertaining while in action. this is the place where you have to try something else. we saw live music in the front while we watched the warriors on the screens while we also admire the regale of the fine likörs behind the bar. the terrace on the back was packed and lively in this night watching the game. the place probably has every night a flexible atmosphere and I am unfortunately not closer to living to catch more of it.
Five Points is a cocktail bar located in the downtown area of San Jose. The decor is trendy and the staff is friendly, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of options.
Monday evening I came out and there was a fantastic jazz band. I order lime water and limes $5, okay I'm cool with a highball glass soda water. If I'm looking for a refill, they wanted to charge $5 for a refill. I've been working in the service industry for 8 years, especially as a bartender, and I've never been accused of soda water from the gun... at least throw out a pellegrino bottle or something. You get better bubbles in cash just on the street.
Stopped by on a Sunday evening and Justin made me the very best whiskey sour I've ever had. It was perfect.
