Tarka Tandoori - San Jose

So good! The butter chicken, tandoori vegetables and garlic naan were the best I've ever had and will definitely be ordering them again soon. Service was very fast and steaming hot. Everyone was very friendly. It's not a formal restaurant (no tablecloths, dishes are simple) which surprised me at first but then added to the charm/atmosphere.

Delicious food and outstanding hospitality from the owner! We particularly enjoyed the Pindi Channa, Amritsari Kulcha, Paneer Tikka Masala, Aloo Naan, Garlic Naan, and the Mango Lassi. The flavors were vibrant, and the dishes weren't as oily as at other places, where the oil tends to float on top. Here, it felt much healthier, and the naan had a generous and tasty filling. We will definitely be returning soon!

Incredible food and exceptional customer service! The restaurant is conveniently located in a strip mall with ample parking, making it easy to find a spot. We ordered a couple of dishes, starting with the Tandoori chicken, which was absolutely delicious. It had a wonderfully juicy, homemade flavor, distinctly different from the dry, commercial taste found in most other places. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a perfectly balanced blend of spices; I typically dislike spicy foods and always request mild, but I forgot this time, and to my delight, it was just right as served. The naan was also cooked perfectly! I asked for a fresh lime soda, which wasn’t on the menu, but the owner went above and beyond to make it for us. Thank you so much for that! Keep up the fantastic work! I look forward to visiting again soon!

Amazing food, and the service feels like you're visiting your favorite relatives. Peter and Deep greet everyone with such warmth and genuine hospitality. From now on, I’ll be bringing my friends and family here for Indian cuisine. I was on the hunt for a specific dish and called around to several Mediterranean and Indian restaurants, but most were either rushed or rather rude, seemingly uninterested in new customers. Peter was patient, incredibly helpful, and informative over the phone, and even more so in person once we discovered his restaurant tucked away in the HMart/85°c parking lot. The food they prepared for us was simply delicious—everything tasted fresh, like homemade! I can’t wait to go back and eat again. You're really missing out if you don't give this place a try!
