Not only is Chef Sharwin's quirky concoctions on-screen delish, but he proves it in his own home base. If you're in for a bang with a twist I would recommend starting off with the Guava Glazed Hot Wings. The best main events you could get are the Seared Wagyu Steak Plate (they only had the chuck cut when we went) and the Baked Fish with Malunggay Crust. The best part would be the Heavenly Happy Ending to a great meal. Desserts! Fleur De Sel Panna Cota, Chocolate Labuyo Leche Flan and the Horlicks Ice Cream were perfect to a T! Ambience and service were great! Awesome meal!

Have you seen an episode of Curiosity Got the Chef by Chef Sharwin Tee? Do you like his creations? Well, if you do Good news! Chef Sharwin has established his own restaurant called Quirky Bacon. So as the name implies, it is for food lovers because bacon is the star of Chef Sharwin's menu. This is not for the health conscious nor for those looking for subtle tastes or small portions. This restaurant is for Eatitarians!They have big portions and we, I and my family, love to taste good food but we are not big eaters. Buffet restaurants rake in big profits from us. So we were surprised that we were able to consume everything we ordered, and we still had to eat dessert. Enough of the suspense. This is what we ate:Tempura bacon salad – a big serving of salad topped with tempura bacon. And the dressing is mildly spicy strawberry vinaigrette. I never thought putting strawberry jam in the vinaigrette would work, but it did!Panalo roll - This is the restaurant's most famous dish. It looks like an embutido but a closer look and of course, the taste is so different. The main meat has a subtle taste of adobo and it is wrapped with bacon. At the centre is tasty longganisa and the sauce poured over it is somewhat sweet. And all of these together in the mouth is soo complex and delicious. We coupled it with dead-drop rice. Bacon vs bacon! This is really an explosion of taste!!!. The tempura bacon is innovative and it is accompanied by a heavenly thick slab of bacon, which tastes like ham and bacon at the same time. Steamed rice is enough to accompany this dish.2-4-7 Grilled cheese sandwich - The melted cheese, bacon and jam plus the assorted chips combination are perfect. It tastes different, but different is so good.Pan-seared sailfish with tamarind sauce - The dish to assuage the guilt over eating so many sinfully delicious dishes. The tamarind sauce is an innovation from the usual lemon rind and juice that accompanies fish dishes. We were glad to have ordered this dish because it balanced the meat dishes.For dessert, Coffee, tea, and me – delicious coffee, Earl Gray tea, and salted caramel ice cream scoops are so good. Fried ensaymada with Horlicks ice cream – The Horlicks ice cream was not available so we replaced it with candied bacon ice cream together with crispy, coated ensaymada. A delight to the palate. There are so many other dishes that we have not tasted so we would definitely go back and eat again here.

The food is delicious but a bit pricey.
