Fela's Vegetarian - San Juan

Full vegan menu served cafeteria style. nothing is characterized, so it is hard to know what they are looking for. visually everything was meh and it tasted okay, but not gloomy.

I got several dishes from the buffet including potatoes, lentil patties, and salad. It tasted great and felt so refreshing to get good vegetables. Parking is free in a lot adjacent to the restaurant.

I recently decided to try this place and so I sent a family member to pick up a job. I ordered aroz, habichuelas, and a soyapattie. However, after I learned that their sojapatties originate from the brand boca, I decided to call the restaurant to confirm that the patties they use are the vegans. boca has both vegan and vegetarian patties. the veggieser contain milk and cheese culture (facts are given on the BOCA website). employees could not confirm that the sojapatties they serve are vegan. my family member was already on the way with our order so there was nothing we could do. I decided not to eat it and hardly touch any of the habichuelas because I had bad experiences with cross-contamination before and did not want to risk it. I hate food waste so I gave it to a non-vegan family member. it's a shame, but I don't risk ordering them again. the dinge should be clearly marked and the employees should have the knowledge to confirm confident that all their products are vegan, as it is already confusing that they are supposed to be a vegan restaurant, but they have “vegetarian” in their name.
