Bidra med feedbackLove this place. The food is great and the service is fantastic! I didn 't get our servers name but she really made the experience memorable. She was attentive, friendly, fast and went the extra mile. She even left the date on my to go leftovers! So sweet!
Though not always on the menu, there's a pizza you can order here (and you must order it! the Fig and prosciutto. Yikes! And Yes!! Truly stone fired thin bubbly crust with prosciutto, fig slices, gorgonzola, balsamic glaze and piled high with fresh arrivals on top. Best of the best! Work of culinary art! Must taste! They also do a nice Bruccetta classico with excellent ripe heirloom tomatoes, Burrata, garlic, fresh basil, balsamic, olive oil and there own freshly baked Italian bread. The atmosphere is warm. Beautiful central coast paintings by one of the owners on the wall, sweet little bar area, that always seems friendly. No television thank the Gods, and not a chain-yay! Sooo hungry right now!
Great spot to eat. I've been there for lunch several times and it's always great. The bread and dipping oil is a nice starter. Perfect for business lunch.
We came here for a graduation dinner and was bummed to see they had a limited menu for the night. The menu included no pizzas which I found quite odd for an Italian place and considering how many they offer on the normal menu. While I had came craving pizza, I ended up going with the ahi salad. The salad was good but the ahi didn't taste all that fresh and was lacking flavor. A friend ordered the ahi appetizer and had a similar review of her fish. I wouldn't order this item again. However I have been here before and had pizza which was much better and I tried the gnocchi which was also good. I would stick to pizzas and pastas if trying to decide what to order!
Solid 4 stars. Visited twice so far and two very good experiences. Upper Crust is a family Italian joint in SLO, not the most expensive place in town, but certainly 3 stars up from the run-of-the-mill Olive Garden types. Seating area is decorated in the usual rustic Italian villa type brick and stucco. There's also a party room for private events. Very clean restaurant, just a very welcoming place. Hostess and wait staff are attentive, happy people everywhere to make sure you're having a good experience. Most recent lunch visit was some food before a wedding...I tried to eat super healthy due to the pending night of drinking and eating...so I opted for the Ahi and Field Greens salad. Very very fresh, light, and just enough of the protein to fill me up. The father of the bride (whom I was responsible for that day) got Chicken Marsala and just raved about it. Looked very good. Since it is an Italian joint there are copious amounts of rustic breads and breadsticks prior to meals and salad arriving. I did taste a parmesan crusty bread stick and it was good...so good I wanted another. We have not yet had to wait long here for seats, or service, or food...so far, so good. Definitely make Upper Crust a regular spot on our travels in/around SLO. ENJOY!!
