Amalfi Marina (dockside) - San Marcos

I had a delightful lunch at this restaurant. The price per person was between $30 and $50, but the food was definitely worth it. I give the food a rating of 4 out of 5. The service was excellent, earning a perfect 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable, also receiving a 5 out of 5. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

Food and services have always been very good every time we've come here. They have very good pizza. Good tacos, too. It's nice to be able to look at the lake and the mountainside while you're having lunch or dinner. The restaurant upstairs Almafi is even better. I really want to like this restaurant, but I have to say that aside from our waitress and the good food, everything else was pretty terrible on our last visit. I blame upper management for the issues that we experienced. Firstly, the new valet parking system is unnecessary and inconvenient. I don't want to pay extra just to park further away and wait longer for my car. The restaurant should provide free valet parking or increase the prices of their food instead. The tables are also unstable and the menus are sticky, which doesn't create a welcoming atmosphere. We spent $200 and could see that the employees were trying their best despite the poor decisions made by the owners and management. It's clear that the valet parking fee is just a way to make more money, rather than a necessity. The restaurant should feel like home for its customers, especially the local hard-working and retired crowd. I probably won't return until they end the valet parking charges.
