Johnny Rockets - San Marcos

We dined here on July 4th with my husband and two friends. After having the Route 66 Burger, I had severe stomach pain just 30 minutes later. The onion rings tasted burnt and were terrible. Our server was quite inefficient. Our order was straightforward: three Route 66 Burgers, one original order, one onion rings, and one French fries. However, it took a long time for our order to arrive. When it finally did, we had to ask our server for our drinks, which should have been served while we waited for the burgers. To add to our frustration, she didn’t even bring us napkins. We do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

The best dining option in the mall. The service is attentive, and the food is decent as well.

The food was absolutely fantastic, and my sister fell in love with the chili. My Philly cheesesteak was incredibly delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Guillermo, for being so patient with us!

From the east coast we are very familiar with Johnny Rockets and absolutely love it! We moved to Round Rock, Texas two months ago and drove over 1 1/2 hours to San Marcos to eat here. The food was so good! We ordered a simple hamburger and pommes, chicken tits and pommes, a chocolate milkshake, a vanilla milkshake, Dr. Pepper and a sweet tea I immediately traded for water. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of our blessing. He didn't really seem to want to wait for us. Several times we would need refills and another guy who was actually the host would check us out and bring us refills. The restaurant is very small, so there is no reason why our waiter could not help us. He also accused me of a sweet tea, even after he asked us for a water for me. It was really not a sweet tea, it was kind of rough haha. But our waiter is the reason for the 4 stars. He never came back with our bill. We had to go up there and he never told us how much our bill was just said to insert our card. We will definitely come back, but we will definitely make sure we ask for someone else!

Would give it a 0 if a could, I was refused service for wanting to dine in their outside tables, they told me they would not provide service outside? why have outdoor tables if you do not provide service? I told them them that I could wait inside for my order and take it out myself, the waitress got angry told me that they did not provide service outside and offered me the to go menu which only included drinks and some chicker tenders? again I explained that I would order in from the normal menu and take it out myself , they even have take away containers, which people were using to take their leftovers, the waitress did not agree and never took my order, so I left. Even if people have decided that there is no pandemic , when there is, if you have outdoor seating you could easily accomodate service. Horrible costumer service, so close minded waitress.
