Bidra med feedbackWe visited for Mother's Day dinner and hadn't been to Champagne in a couple of years. The food is still good, but I've noticed that the portion sizes are smaller than they used to be. I was also surprised by how uncrowded it was for Mother's Day. One thing to note is that they added an 18% service charge to the bill.
The restaurant offers a fascinating variety of dim sum and chef's specials. It's noteworthy to see families with three generations dining together, which reflects the appeal of the cuisine and the welcoming atmosphere. It could have easily earned a five-star rating if the dim sum had the bold flavors and aromas typically found in Hong Kong.
The dim sum experience was mostly enjoyable, but there were a few misses as well. Unfortunately, the service was the worst I've encountered in San Mateo. Staff members seemed either too busy to engage with customers or unsure of their responsibilities. Many dishes arrived without the necessary condiments, and it took a long time for someone to actually notice our requests and deliver them. I definitely won't be returning here.
The food is decent and tasty! My favorite is the bean curd roll, pork belly, and steamed bun. However, the service has room for improvement and the environment needs to be cleaner. When we went there, the floor was pretty dirty and wet due to the previous customer spill the tea.
The food is so good. This is my second time here and ordered different things. All dishes I ordered here are so good and high quality. The service is good too! Can’t believe it’s rated only 3.8! We should let the good business stand out!!
